Bodrum Shopping

Bodrum

Anyone taking a break from the beach and wanting to do a little shopping will not be disappointed. There are a number of shops selling a host of reasonably priced items. Carpets, crafts, silver and gold are all available. Make sure you do all these before your gulet cruise Bodrum:

Shopping Streets
The traditional shopping area of Bodrum was the streets to the south and east of the Post Office. Speciality shops still survive for such things as pottery, sandals and carpets. Ataturk Street is one place to head

As Bodrum has grown some of these small shops have been replaced by traders aiming at the tourism market. Souvenir shops have sprung up while there has been an increased number of bars and restaurants.

Shopping Complexes
The centre is a fairly cramped area so shopping opportunities have spread to other parts of this growing town. Oasis is a shopping complex in the north west of town which is gradually becoming more popular. A second development is Bodrum Karada Marina close to the town centre; it has many famous brand stores.

Local Markets
The local markets have fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, textiles and leather goods. Some market days for your diary:

•Monday – Turkbuku
•Tuesday – Bodrum Fabric and Golkoy
•Wednesday – Gumusuk and Gundogan
•Thursday – Yalikavak
•Friday – Bodrum Food
•Saturday – Markets in Turgutreis
