How does the booking manager work?
The Booking Manager is a simple and easy way to plan, book and pay for your travel in advance to ensure your time spent in Turkey is most enjoyable. - First step: select from the menu items of tours, gulet cruises, ferries, accommodation, or transfers. - Second step: select your location, cruise departure, or direction of transfer. - Third step: select the actual tour you are trying to book and enter all your details. Once you have entered all the required information you can either go to enter more items by choosing the correct menu item from the above OR click "next" down the bottom of the page. You will be taken to the VIEW CART section where you will see a summary of what you have selected to book. - Fourth step: you can delete anything from the VIEW CART section if you entered it incorrectly OR you can go back to enter more bookings if required. If not press NEXT down the bottom of the page and you will be taken to CUSTOMER DETAILS. This is where you will enter all your details for the booking. Please add any extra notes in the note section. For example, if you want a twin cabin, double cabin, or any other special request. Click next and your booking has gone through to the Farout team for approval and confirmation. Please make sure you keep an eye on your email account and junk mail account for all our correspondence regarding your booking.
Am I able to change any of my bookings in the booking manager?
The simple answer is yes, provided you have not completed Step 4, at any stage of using Booking Manager you can select the back button to take you back to where you need to be to change, add or delete any of your bookings.

BLUE CRUISE / CABIN CHARTER
When do the cabin cruises depart?
Farout runs cabin cruise departures almost every day of the week starting from April till the end of October, departing from either Olympos or Fethiye. When you book online you will receive a pre-departure pack full of very useful information about your upcoming cruise. Please refer to this booklet or read below for further information.
Do I need to book ahead?
Farout highly recommends booking ahead rather than just turning up on the spot. Guidebooks recommend that you should go to the harbor and book directly with the boats, but this has since changed. Over the last few years, these cabin cruises have become so popular that these cruises are likely to be fully sold out if you leave it till the last minute and just turn up. You will also find that there are many savings when booking online ahead of time. Could be savings on the cruise cost itself or even receiving the option for discounts on optional excursions on the cruise.
''Please note that in peak season we are sometimes fully booked two to three weeks ahead of departure, so booking ahead in peak season especially, is essential''
What are the sleeping arrangements on board?
At the time of booking, it helps Farout if you advise if you want a twin, double, or shared cabin. Depending on the boat, the cabin layouts vary. Some boats only have double rooms, whilst others may have a mix of doubles, twins, or even triples with 1 large double bed and 1 single bunk. Some boats also have quad cabins. We will always try to accommodate your cabin request, but at times this is out of Farout's control with the boat that may be scheduled to leave on the day of your cruise. We do guarantee that all cabins have a private bathroom and hot shower. If you are traveling solo then you will share a cabin with another solo traveler on the day unless the boat isn’t full. For anyone who wants a private cabin, this is possible however, you will have to pay a single supplement. Most people sleep on the deck under the stars in peak summer cruising months rather than in their cabins!
Where are the other passengers from?
A large percentage of our customers are from English-speaking countries, however, we also get guests from other European and Asian countries. There is no dominant nation that joins us on our cruises these days, we do get a good mix worldwide.
Can I specifically book cabin cruises as a quiet relaxing trip or a party boat?
Farout does not ask people for specific information when they are booking their cruise. Nor do we ask for ages or demographics. So you do not know who you will be cruising with until the morning of departure. Customers make the atmosphere so it all depends on who is on the gulet with you. Our crew will try to make it work for everyone but we cannot guarantee whether it is going to be a quiet or party boat. Farout has departures every day, some days more than 1 or 2 gulets are leaving, so we do consider age groups and any kind of special requests when allocating people to a boat.
How many crew members will be on the trip?
There are usually three crew members on each gulet. There will be a Captain, Chef, and Skipper. Depending on the size and conditions of the gulet there may be one less or one extra crew member on board.
Will the crew speak English?
As English is not Turkey's first language you may not have fluent English-speaking crew members, however, rarely, you will not have at least one crew member who can speak good English on board.

Is there snorkeling gear and water sports equipment on the gulet?
Yes, most of our boats will provide snorkeling equipment and some water sport flotation devices. All this equipment will vary from boat to boat and you will share it with your other passengers. All gulets will have normal power Plugs with 12W or 24W power which is not enough to charge large electrical items like laptops or to use items such as hair dryers or hair straighteners. However, it is sufficient enough power to charge your phone, iPod, or camera battery. When our gulets are in the harbor you will have access to 220W so this is the best time to charge larger items should you need to. Some of our gulets are equipped with generators which would allow you to charge at 220W, however, this is only turned on at specific times. Other gulets run purely on solar power.
Do the gulets have to air-condition?
All our gulets are Classic Turkish Wooden Gulets.
Gulets on tours on Saturdays and Sundays have the option of air conditioning. On other days there is no A/C option on boards.

We have free WIFI options on boards but we can't guarantee reception in some places.
Do you accept credit card payments?
All cruise balances, optional activities, and bar tabs must be paid in cash. No credit card payments are accepted.
LAND TOURS
What is the difference between the door to door and semi-door-to-door tours?
A full door-to-door service is when you will be picked up from your hotel and dropped at the doorstep of your next accommodation. Sometimes, we are unable to do this with our bus services, so you will be required to use the public bus system, which will still be pre-organized for you. If this is the case, we call this service semi-door-to-door.
What do I do with my itinerary?
If you have booked a longer tour than 1 day you will receive an itinerary from a Farout staff member. This itinerary is a breakdown of your tour day by day and details everything from pick-up times, location for pick-up, accommodation booked, and what is included in your day. It is important that once you have that itinerary you read it and are familiar with the details. As this will all be pre-booked for you, you will not need to show your itinerary to people along the way, but it will not hurt to always have it on you.
Who do I contact if I have any questions along the way?
It is best that make sure you are comfortable with your itinerary before departure. However, should you need to liaise with the Farout team at any point in your tour, or trip throughout Turkey you can contact us via several methods. On top of your itinerary, you will find our office number, a 24-hour mobile number, and also our fax. We are also online via MSN chat or Skype. Please note that the mobile number on your itinerary is a 24-hour number, so please make sure in any case of emergency day or night that you do call that number. Please visit the contact us section on this website to see all our confirmed contact details.
