Bitez
Bodrum Bitez Beach is surrounded by tangerine trees, and is just a 10 minute drive from Bodrum Town Centre. It’s a mix of shingle and sand and with its crescent shape the bay is sheltered and is perfect for windsurfing and water sports. The shallow waters are perfect for non-swimmers and young families. This popular beach has no loud music so is a great place to relax surrounded by shops, restaurants and cafes. In the weeks of hot summer it is idyllic.
Gumbet
Bodrum Gumbet beach is mainly shingle. It’s a great place for water sports with many activities available. At either end of the beach there are sandier quieter areas that are good for children. This beach is long and lined with hotels, bars and restaurants that will allow you to use their sunbeds and umbrellas as long as you are purchasing refreshments from their establishment.
Kargi Bay
Bodrum Camel Beach also known as Kargı Bay is known for its long sandy beach. It has many good restaurants and cafes also has water sports and camels that you can ride for a small fee. This is a popular beach with families but the water does get deep quite quickly.
Turgutreis
Bodrum Turgutreis has a good sandy beach. The Greek Island of Kos is in full view. Water sports are available here from the main public beach and from many of the hotel beaches. There are many cafes and restaurants which all offer sun loungers and parasols if you purchase refreshments and food. There is also a weekly market held each Saturday.
Gumusluk
Bodrum Gumusluk is the site of ancient sight of Myndos and is protected from too much development. Rabbit Island can be reached by walking through the water and here parts of the Myndos ruins can be seen when snorkelling. There are some good fish restaurants along the sea front and to the side of the village is a sandy and sheltered beach that is good for swimming.
