Bodrum - Gokova - Bodrum Itinerary
Day 1
Bodrum
Your cruising week begins here in the vibrant City of Bodrum which is also famous for Turkish gulet cruises. As your check-in is not until 15:30 pm this afternoon you have the morning to start to explore Bodrum. Or if you are arriving that day, please let us know if you need any transfers organised for you. Once you are checked into the boat, given information and settled in, dinner will be served on the boat and your first night is spent in Bodrum Harbour. So you again have the afternoon to get out to visit some of the sights that make up Bodrum. You may like to visit the old amphitheatre, or go and see the Castle of Saint Peter which now houses the world's largest underwater archaeology museum. Bodrum is well known for its nightlife and is one of the most popular spots to come to party. So after dinner, you can either enjoy relaxing on the deck in harbour, or you may like to head back into town to check out the nightlife on offer.
Day 2
Bodrum to Cokertme
After breakfast is served you will all be on your way out of Bodrum Harbour. First stop will be Orak Island, which is a well-known spot for its snorkelling and diving. You may be lucky enough to see red coral, starfish, colourful parrotfish or maybe even eels.
You will have some time here to enjoy your first swim and once lunch is finished you then move onto Cokertme Bay, where we will anchor down for the night. Here you get the chance to walk up the slopes of this bay that are covered with pine trees and olive groves.
Day 3
Cokertme to Uzun Liman
This morning you will cruise onto what is known as the Seven Islands region. This area has shores covered in pine forests and is a great place for swimming and really relaxing. One of the stops along the way will be at Kufre and Uzun Liman, where you can swim ashore to look for the hidden houses scattered among the pine forest. In the evening you can enjoy the sunset at Uzun Liman in the Seven Islands region, where you will anchor down for the night.
Day 4
Uzun Liman to English Port
This morning you cruise onto Tuzla Bay, where you get time to enjoy the gorgeous turquoise waters and have a refreshing morning swim or snorkel. We will have a relaxing breakfast here before cruising onto Longoz Bay, where we will have lunch. You then cruise onto English Port to anchor down for the evening. This port/bay gets its name from World War II when the English Navy came and used this area for their ships.
Day 5
English Port to Karacasogut Village
After breakfast, you will cruise onto Sedir Island (Kedra). It's a beautiful little spot with a secluded piece of land, a small beach and unbelievably clear waters for a swim. Onshore you will be able to spot the ancient historic relics from the city walls to the amphitheatre that could sit up to 1500 guests at a time. Next stop for the day will be Cleopatra Beach, which is a beautiful white sandy beach and is made famous by the story behind it. It's said to be that Marc Antony, Cleopatra's great love and husband had the beautiful white sands shipped all the way from Egypt especially for Cleopatra. After enjoying this exquisite sight you will move onto Karacasogut Village where you will anchor down for the night. The seaside town of Marmaris is not too far from this anchoring spot. So if your group would like to head into Marmaris for the afternoon or even after dinner this can be organised.
Day 6
Karacasogut Village to Kissebuku
This morning before breakfast you will cruise onto Kargili Bay. Here you will have time to greet the morning with a swim before breakfast is served. You will then continue onto Kissebuku (Alakisla) for more swimming, relaxing and lunch. As we will spend the night here there is plenty of time for those feeling more energetic to swim shore where you can find ancient Byzantian ruins to explore. Or you may choose to just stay behind, relax on deck and swim in the beautiful waters.
Day 7
Kissebuku to Bodrum
Today is really your last day to enjoy cruising the Mediterranean. After breakfast is served you cruise onto Pabucburnu, where you have time for swimming and snorkelling. For lunch, you will cruise onto Yaliciftlik Bay, where there is also time for an optional village tour should you be interested. In the late afternoon, it's time to cruise back into Bodrum Harbour for your last night on board. Dinner will be served on the boat and then the night is yours should you want to head back in to enjoy the nightlife or choose to stay relaxing on deck.
