Kos Best beaches
Kos
Tourists are spoilt for choice when it comes to beaches. On many there are sunbeds, umbrellas and refreshments. Water sports are available on the most popular ones throughout the season. There is no lack of sand; the vast majority are sandy.
Visitors can go to a different one each day of a two week summer holiday but when they are all so good, why bother? The best ones include:
Mastichari
Mastichari is about 16 miles south west of Kos Town and has a number of windsurf alternatives. It is a family friendly beach of lovely white sand.
Thermes
Eight miles to the south of Kos Town, Thermes is a cove with pebbles and hot water.
Kefalos
Kefalos in in the extreme south west end of Kos. It is a sandy cove, quite long and certainly picturesque. There are plenty of facilities on offer.
Agios Stefanos
This is a well-organised family resort, largely pebble but with plenty of activities on offer.
Paradise Beach
This is a lovely cove near Agios Stefanos and is certainly a popular destination for tourists. It is sandy and surrounded by lush vegetation.
Kardamena Beach
Another beach in the far south west of the Island, it is probably the most popular beach on Kos with diving and water sport facilities.
Lambi
Just north of Kos Town, there are sunbeds, umbrellas and plenty of tourist facilities.
