Other Luxury
There are luxury hotels on the coast offering their own pools and gardens as well as a stretch of beach.
•Grecotel Kos Imperial Thalasso has almost 400 rooms, an a la carte restaurant and all the facilities you would expect from 5 star accommodation. Kos Town is 15 minutes away by bicycle but take plenty of water on a hot day. There are fitness facilities gym and tennis in this family friendly hotel.
•Diamond Deluxe Hotel is on the beach in Lambi. This 96 room hotel has spa, pool and excellent facilities in general. The town of Kos is about 2 miles distant though with the excellent bar and restaurant facilities many guests find it hard to leave to do anything.
•Blue Lagoon Village Blue is a similar size to Grecotel. It is on the far end of Kos with Kefalos being the nearest village. It is almost a village in itself with bars and restaurants, pools and a long sandy beach with water sports, shops and well –equipped rooms.
•Michelangelo Hotel & Spa just to the south of Kos Town near the Therma Hot Springs.
Mid-Range
In the middle range there are hotels and apartments throughout the Island:
•Nissia Kamares Hotel Apartments ranks as a 3 star with 38 apartments on 2 levels. It is a traditional Greek style hotel with gardens close to the centre of Kardamena with its great beaches. It’s a great place to relax with shops, bars, restaurants and the beach nearby.
•Mitsis Summer Palace has 252 rooms each with a balcony or terrace. The cuisine is extensive and families will enjoy an equally extensive range of facilities.
•Fili Appartments is a 3 star with 54 rooms and is located on the beachfront with wheelchair access just over a mile from town.
Budget
•Hotel Sonia, basic but comfortable, is in the centre of Kos Town with good view of the ancient Roman ruins opposite the harbour. Everything is within a minute’s walk; shops, buses, taxis, restaurants clubs and the beach
•Marianna Hotel with 55 apartments is equally well-appointed near bars and restaurants and with a supermarket next door.
•Kalloudis Hotel with 184 rooms and is a short walk to the beach. There are plenty of tavernas, bars and mini markets close by
