Antalya
Even a city like Antalya has local markets but it quite naturally has the most up-to-date shopping facilities as well. Few places can match the modern complex of Terra City but there are plenty of ‘high street’ shops as well.
There are many bargains to be had so make sure you have some space in your luggage for your return flight. After all in a great climate you don’t need a whole wardrobe of clothes.
Shopping Malls
There are many malls but these few deserve mention.
•Terra City. This most modern facility on 4 levels has many of the world’s famous brand names. Fashion is high on the list but there is much more; electronics, jewellery, general household goods, cafes and restaurants.
•5M Migros. Migros is a national chain of supermarkets throughout Turkey
•Deepo Outlet Centre
•MarkAntalya
•Ozdilek Park
Markets
It is important to remember there is plenty of local demand and small towns to large cities, everywhere has the local market. Antalya market has plenty of shopping opportunities for everything from clothes to jewellery. It is a traditional market where you are expected to haggle; it is part of the fun so don’t be shy.
Kaleici
The Old Town has plenty of small shops. You will be able to find many tradtional craft items in Kaleici, and of course the carpets for which Turkey is famous.
