Bedri Rahmi Bay
Bedri Rahmi Bay
Bedri Rahmi Bay is found in the Fethiye Gulf and is one of the most popular bays in the area. It is named after a great Turkish writer and painter - Bedri Rahmi Eyuboglu. The history states that he and his friends were the first blue voyagers who discovered the beautiful Lycian coast. On one of his cruises back in 1973, he painted a fish on a rock in the bay and because of this, the bay was renamed after him. The protected bay is covered in pine, olive trees and oleander flowers. Along the shore, you can also find many Lycian rock tombs hidden behind the trees and the historians believe that the ancient Lycian town of Crya was located here.
