About 20 minutes from the ancient city of Ephesus, Kusadasi has been growing in popularity since the 1980s. The coastal town gets its name from Pigeon Island, which is connected to the mainland by a causeway. North and south of the city centre there are beaches, while the modern area near the waterfront has a bazaar and is a great place for shopping.
