Aquarium Bay
Aquarium Bay, a beautiful lagoon-style bay is found hidden between two islands that can only be reached by boat. Only a 5-minute boat ride from the popular coastal town of Kas it has become a popular place for daily boat tours and a sought-after stopping point on Blue Cruise itineraries. The bay gained its name from the water so clear you can see the ocean floor as if it was only just under the surface of the water, this allows for the natural sea bed and wildlife to be easily seen as if it is in an aquarium. The excellent visibility has drawn divers to the bay, allowing both beginners and experts to enjoy the ocean without needing to dive too deep to see what the water holds. The islands that protect the bay also make the water calm and serene making it a perfect place for beginners to learn and get their confidence. The region is home to a wide variety of sea life, including sponges, octopus, starfish, damselfish, red mullets, turtles, stingrays, and fish that come to swimmers.
The islands themselves offer both sandy and rocky points to explore with small trees and shrubs making these islands feel even more natural while also allowing the fantastic Mediterranean view to be enjoyed.
The only way to get to Aquarium Bay is by sea. You can join a boat tour or a blue cruise. In the surrounding area, other points of interest are Kas Ancient Theatre, Kaputas Beach, and Kibris Canyon.
